Social Skills Group Program

Social Skills Group Programs are intended for children with good verbal language skills, but who have difficulty with taking other peoples’ perspective, making friendships, and developing or generalizing appropriate social repertoires. Acquiring social knowledge and competence are core skills that may need intervention, practice and rehearsal. Executive function skills may also be a significant deficit in the child acquiring independence with complex routines, completing homework, and acquiring self-management skills. If the child has Asperger’s, high functioning autism, ADHD or other learning difficulties, he or she may benefit significantly with ABA intervention. Treatment is individualized to meet the child’s individual needs whether in a group or one to one.
